Hannah Regan FdSc Counselling, MBACP Counselling in Guildford and Godalming, Surrey

Hello and Welcome

Uncertainty and fear of the unknown can trigger unsettling feelings for many of us. It is perhaps when we experience this sense of unease that we explore how counselling might help.

In light of the coronavirus outbreak I would like to reassure all potential new, current or returning clients that sessions can be conducted online or over the telephone. Should you have any questions concerning this please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Social distancing and self-isolation do not have to be a barrier to you getting the support you need. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.

You may feel isolated in your struggle but by finding the courage to speak of what matters to you, difficult and painful feelings can be explored, understood and potentially resolved. Counselling is an opportunity to take stock of life in a private and respectful place where:

  • You will feel supported and accepted.
  • You can get to know yourself better.

Surrey Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Guildford and Godalming

My name is Hannah and I am a friendly, professional, humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist working in Shalford near Guildford.

I am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where together we can talk things through.

I work with individuals on a 1:1 basis and according to what suits your needs best, humanistic counselling can be either short-term (6-12 sessions) or long-term.

Finding a therapist may feel daunting; to help with this I offer a free 30 minute meeting to discuss whether or not counselling is right for you. I am also happy to answer any questions by phone or email without further obligation.

    What's Worrying You?

As a counsellor and psychotherapist my work covers a wide range of issues including:

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Gender and sexuality
  • Life changes
  • Personal development
  • Redundancy
  • Relationship issues
  • Stress
  • Terminal illness

  • About me

Before training to become a qualified counsellor I worked as a press officer for the UK's leading dementia charity and prior to that as a broadcast journalist for the BBC.

My media career taught me how important it is for people to feel understood - for their story to be told and for their voice to be heard.

These values now form the foundations of my professional work as a counsellor, as I continue to prize individual experience and the courage it takes to confront life’s challenges.

    Area of Specialism

I have also worked for several years as a volunteer counsellor for the Fountain Centre charity at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, supporting people whose lives have been affected by cancer. This experience has led to a special interest in grief and loss related issues and the struggle individuals face in coming to terms with a life that's been thrown off course.
