Surrey Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Guildford and Godalming
My name is Hannah and I am a friendly, professional, humanistic counsellor and psychotherapist working in Guildford and Godalming
I am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment where together we can talk things through.
I work with individuals on a 1-1 basis and according to what suits your needs best, humanistic counselling can be either short-term (6-12 sessions) or long-term. Sessions can also be arranged to take place online via Skype.
What's Worrying You?
As a counsellor and psychotherapist my work covers a wide range of issues including:
Before training to become a qualified counsellor I worked as a press officer for the UK's leading dementia charity and prior to that as a broadcast journalist for the BBC.
My media career taught me how important it is for people to feel understood - for their story to be told and for their voice to be heard.
These values now form the foundations of my professional work as a counsellor, as I continue to prize individual experience and the courage it takes to confront life’s challenges.
Area of Specialism
I have also worked for several years as a volunteer counsellor for the Fountain Centre charity at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, supporting people whose lives have been affected by cancer. This experience has led to a special interest in grief and loss related issues and the struggle individuals face in coming to terms with a life that's been thrown off course.
