The freedom to be
Counselling is an opportunity for you to speak your truth without censure or fear of being judged. At times this will take courage but it's only by exploring uncomfortable feelings and learning to be at one with ourselves that we can start to see the world anew and discover alternative and potentially transformative perspectives on life.
Observing and questioning feelings that have been ignored or denied can help break negative patterns of behaviour as we start to understand our emotions rather than be defined by them.
This process allows for us to make greater sense of our place in the world and instills a deeper sense of personal responsibility for the choices we make and the person we are.
Counselling is a collaborative process, it doesn't involve advice-giving or quick-fix cures.
Instead it offers an opportunity to get curious about feelings, and within the safety and warmth of a relationship grounded in trust and respect, we can begin to experience ourselves differently and move towards a more genuine and meaningful life.
